I was cleaning and feeding tonight and snapped a few pics. This is my recently acquired male Haitian Boa. I LOVE these things! Thanks for looking.

on the animal-nothing better than a looker eating like that. When are you going to ship them to me?

Best regards,

Thanks Jeff. This was actually their second meal with me. I fed them about 5 days ago, but just really small rats that were more of a snack. I got my RodentPro shipment thursday, so it was time to get down to business. They're both perfect eaters. Big f/t rats. No lizard B.S. anymore with these guys. Can't wait to see your new group.

Ryan, thats a NICE looking Haitian. They're one of my favorite snakes.....TC

They've always been one of my favorites too. This is the first I've ever actually had any of my own though. I never would have found them without Jeff's help. I didn't get any feeding pics of this girl because she was inside their hide. Hopefully next feeding I can, to get a better angle. They're very hard to mess around with because of how high strung they still are. And I have no desire to get musked. But they seem to be settling in quite well. LOVE the red on this one, and the way she fades to black down the tail. Their blue/black mouths are awesome too. Somebody on another forum mentioned their similarity to Bredl's Pythons. I definitely see the resemblance.

She is even better looking. I'm now working with a line that occurs only in certain locales on Hispanola. This pic is one of the uglier ones but some are literally fire engine red. Even this one is unbelievable compared to normals.....TC

That one's really nice. I remember that pic from the Snakes-What Kind? forum when you posted it for the guy that found a Haitian in a box of bananas. That's actually what triggered me to start looking for them. So thanks a lot for reminding me. I can't wait til mine get that adult girth on them. They're still very slender. I can't believe the female had 12 babies already. She doesn't look big enough to be able to. I'm hoping they calm down a lot more the older they get too. The one below looks great also. Like a hypo. Great animals Tom. Thanks for sharing.

Here's a pic of an interesting one we collected in the D.R. last year. We turned it loose soon after capture. Enclosed is a pic of a nights collecting of Epicrates gracilis as well. We are working on getting permits to go again as I only have one pair of gracilis and would love to increase my breeding group...TC

Tom - good luck on the permits, would enjoy making the trip with you if you end up going.

Got an adult male chyrso coming in...finally. Will send pics shortly.

The female gracilis still leaving you waiting?
Ryan

I'm still waiting but think its coming to fruition soon. I want to thank Jay Wagner for trusting me with his female. Hopefully we'll have fordi as well Ryan. Still haven't given up hope....TC
