Hello all! My big female Plains produced a litter of 21 bouncing baby neonates in the early spring of this year, and now looks pretty huge in the hind-half again. It's close to the time when my snakes start winding down for the winter, but she's feeding more aggressively than ever and spends a lot of time basking. Are garters known to throw two litters in one year? I have her housed with a male but haven't observed any of his usual springtime pursuits since, well, the spring! I guess I'll have to just wait and see...
