Hi, I probed my JCP yesterday and one side probed 3 scales which would indicate a female and then i probed the other side to be certain and it probed 5 scales, would this still be a female? i know males are usually 6 scales on most snakes with with it so deep on the one side i'm not too sure, would this indicate a male or female?

A couple scales deep is a female. And usually, when you probe that shallow, and one side is different than the other, that usually means it's a female too. Male usually probe much deeper than 4 or 6, and other's have said that males feel 'spongy' while females come to a dead stop - and in my experience, I think that's true as well.
