I've now had my hondo for 5 weeks and pleased to say he's doing great. In this short time he's already taken 13 meals only refusing two attempts in the middle of his shedding process. I believe I've been feeding him some smallish size mice. I guess a learning process for me but I'm please to say I picked up a dozen hoppers yesterday. Once he's done woofing down 3 more meals of 4x pinkies every 3 days or so I'll start him the hoppers. Anyways he's the pix.
A little disappointed I didn't work harder to try and get my external flash to fill in the shadows but I guess you live and learn. I'm happy I can see my flaw do
Nice close up tried to capture his tongue flicking yet he didn't seem to interested in checking out the air minus went trying to escape.
Seems the sharpest focus is just above the eyes in his mid section. Alittle distracting but I still like this photo and feel its worth sharing.
It will be interesting to see how he does long term and see how big he gets. I plan to measure and weigh him a few times a year to keep track of his growth.
