You had better snatch them up now, they are going to, if they haven't already halted importation of this species, just like they did to the Green Trees(V. prasinus), and supposedly soon, the Black Trees. Green Trees are only allowed to be exported if they are proven to be F2(second generation)captive bred, and, from what I have heard, this is going to be the same with the macraei, and the newly classified yellow spot tree monitor. Even if you were able to find a pair, or even a lone male, acclimating these guys is one of the most difficult jobs to do. There is a high mortality rate, and some captives just don't adapt well to captivity. You would have to think about added stress on the animal when thinking about housing, feeding, maintanence, etc. They are a very frail, sensitive animal, and it is very easy to loose out on the two grand you invested in them. Just my opinion.
