Question on Woma temp. range

championjeep Oct 12, 2008 06:22 PM

Being in a room with the room being heated by a heater. What would be the ideal temperature range for Womas. There is some drop of temperature t night. The drop might be 5 degrees. What should I try to keep it at. I don't own the pair but the person I share the room with does. He has no problem letting the room go over 90 degrees. I don't think thats needed and a total waste but just looking for some opinions.
Thanks

A basking spot of 90F is not unheard of (I keep mine at about 88), but all pythons need a thermal gradient, that is a RANGE of temperatures in their enclosures from which to choose, to properly thermoregulate. The low end should sit in the mid to low 70s F, and yes, it can certainly drop a little bit at night.

The entire cage should not be 90F, let alone the whole room. Go get yourself some ice water and set your roommate straight.
