When you are producing morphs that no one has ever seen before you have to be careful in naming morphs. It really helps if you produce a few of them and then you can say for sure something is one thing or another.
This year I had a clutch from Pastel het Red Axanthic x Pastel het Red Axanthic. I was hoping to hit on the Super Pastel Red Axanthic. I don't know if I did or not. It didn't help that one of the wacky looking babies was dead in the egg.
This is the dead baby. His yoke had gone hard in the egg so he absorbed some of it but not enough to live. He crawled out of the egg and then died unfortunately.

Here is the dead baby beside the crazy pattern one that I'll talk about later.

Now these 2 hatched out. Both are super pastels but is the one on the left a regular one that just happens to have the Het Red Axanthic pattern??? What about the crazy one on the right? That is atleast a Super Pastel Het Red Axanthic but why is it so light? Also, it doesn't look like the dead one so was that one the Super Pastel Red Axanthic???

Both aren't Pastels het Red Axanthic because they don't look like one.

Here are some older Opals (Super Pastels) het Red Axanthic

And again with the 2007 Opal Het Red Axanthic female.

Time will tell what these little guys really are.
