Hey, I'm probably going to end up buying a spider, but I have heard numerous times that they tend to have neurological problems? If anyone has more info on this, I would greatly appreciate anyone sharing it.

I don't know much about it, but I was wondering since your asking.. Does this affect them to the point that at some point it would be lethal? Does it shorten life any at all?
Spiders are great snakes and make really cool combos. I've heard people say all spiders wobble to some degree and others say their spiders have no wobble. Go figure. It does not, IMHO, affect their eating, resting, pooping, growing, ability to breed or long life.
If you enjoy them, go for it!

Spiders tend towards wobbling. Some are hardly noticeable, some are so severe, it looks like Stargazing, or some EBD related convulsions.
My advice, buy one that you can see in person, one that does not tend to wobble. If you get one over the net, ask for one that does not wobble, maybe even ask for a video of it. I got my adult female Spider from EBN, and asked for a non wobbler. That is what they sent me. She was never a wobbler, and only does a slight head bob as an adult, when she is excited about food. I have to go with, if it does not wobble as a baby, it will probably be ok as an adult. If it does wobble as a baby, who knows as an adult, and it might get worse....

Spiders are awesome. Some are just a little goofy. I have eight in my collection. One male and seven females. They are a color and pattern mutation with green eyes. They are hardy eaters and seem to breed younger. They make everything there bred to better. Who ever told you there's a problem must have pinstripes. LOL
Next to Pieds they are hands down one of my favorites. Maybe cause they are a little mental.. like me
Is it possible to make a spider pied?
You can search the forum on the spider wobble there are a lot of threads on it. If it concerns you talk to the breeder about what if any signs might have been noticed. Unfortunately if you plan on breeding it -- there is a good chance even if the spider you get doesn't wobble -- it's offspring might -- if it's just a pet no worries -- if you breed you need to be prepared for the worse case scenario.
Good luck!

i have a 1100g female grown from a hatchling, great snake. I can tell you that she is a bit different from my others.
no wobbles, but just different.

Some do some don't. No body knows why this happens. IMO it is linked to the spider gene and maybe why some show it and others do not may have to do with if the spider has one or two copies of the spider gene EX. both parents are spiders or one parent was a spider. The combination of two spider genes does not affect the appearance of the animal and may not do anything else who knows but it may compound the wobble effect.
But this is just my theory. Again if you like them then get one, if you breed it you may or may not get wobbles.
Do you know of a proven homozygous spider? I don't think anyone has put out information to prove they are viable and what the look and act like
I have heard of people think that that is possible but not proven(homozygous spider). Even if it is'nt a homo spider what if both parents are spiders, does this seem to increase the amount of wobble? Has anybody noticed what tends to lead to the wobble? I do not own one so I do not know but so people say thiers do not wobble or anything while others say thiers are "different" or no mine is normal. Because of the wobble I have chosen to stay away from them. If the wobble ends up compounding over time thru using them to breed then spider morphs end up a bad gene. On the other hand over time wecould find out that the worry on the wobble is nothing. I am curious to why spiders tend to have the wobble and if it can be prevented reason is I think spiders are beautiful but I would rather not breed something that could be detrimental in the long run.
