Pellets

shkd70 Oct 14, 2008 08:08 AM

Just curious for those who have beardies that eat pellets. What techniques are there to get them interested in pellets?

My BD is just a couple months old and gets a variety of greens and plenty of crickets but I would feel less guilty if i knew he was eating pellets while i was gone most of the day sometimes.

All Ideas appreciated.

thanks
Scott

Hi Scott,

I recommend using San Fransisco Bay Brand dry products. Try their veggie or fruit herp mixes. Just a scoop or 2 on top of greens and mist well. They will moisten and soften up in a few minutes. I find that this is better than pellets because it is not a form of "meal replacement", just extra supplementation. My dragons from babies to adults eat these readily. They are also calcium fortied too.

Thanks,
Kevin

All mine are great salad eaters. I don't believe in and have found no need for prepared food. Offer Mustard greens and Dandelion to start and stay with it and they will eat it.

i use the monster diet pellets they are soft and scented really well and mine seem to go for it all the time. you can use the dry stuff and just spray it to throw off a smell. ive found that they go for stuff with a smell.
