This Paradox has really colored up!!

mike_panic Oct 14, 2008 09:22 AM

This guy is a really cool looking snake. I can't even capture it in a photo. His background color is a creamy eggshell and his tail and sides are really getting redder by the day. Thanks for looking. Mike Panichi

Does anyone understand the Paradox gene(s)?

Mike:

I love the paradox.

I remember you mentioning the white spots on the sunglow I got from you. Since I've received him I have really noticed them. What do you think is going on with that?

Have you noticed the white spots on any other of your sunglows.

Hey Brian, there were a bunch of color/pattern oddities(for lack of a better term) with this litter. He I think, was the only Sunglow with those white patches. One of the really nice males I had had some odd fading in his bands as well. Like a bleaching effect. Anyway, as you know, there were four pretty much definate Paradox boas and probably more like 7 or 8 paradox boas in this litter. It makes a good case for it being genetic I think. Anyway, I'm guessing by now I'll end up keeping them and probably will breed them back to there mother and sisters. Here are a few photos of the ones I still have. Thanks alot. Mike Panichi

If you look at the two on the right, it looks like each one's head belongs on the other one's body.

Mike:

It will be interesting to see if the white spots on the sunglow I got from you change in appearance as the snake gets older.

I'll keep you informed.
