Is one gender more beautiful over another? So far that i've seen, is females that have more distinct patterns and colors. Correct me if i'm wrong. And how big of an enclosure for one?

I would say no. Here is a pic of a male and female that both have distinct banding and great color.
There is more of a differece between bloodlines.
