rats right?

markpopejoy Oct 15, 2008 12:46 PM

I have my ball on rats, but want to make sure I'm not missing anything in feeding my 5ft newly aquired BRB by putting him on rats. The last owner had him on large adult mice, 2 a week. He's not as big around girth wise as my ball, but he should be able to take a small adult rat. I'm in the right frame of mind...aren't I?

If he'll eat em, go with rats!!

I have a few "mousers" ones that refuse rats, so they get mice!! Other than those few, all mine are on rats.

Small rats should be no problem at all. I would think that it wouldn't be long before medium rats could be used, but I would suggest to use small rats for at least a couple of months to make sure you don't go too big too fast.
