I've never heard of spinal kinking being genetic. The vast majority of the time spinal kinks occur is when there's a spike in incubation temperature. This is especially prevelant when using an incubator that heats, but does not cool down. So if you were incubating eggs at 82-84 degrees and you had a heat wave with temperatures into the low 90s, you stand a pretty good chance of getting baby snakes with spinal kinks.

Hello,
My western hog has spinal kinks. She is a few years old and has just a little trouble getting around. She eats fine except pushing it down, which takes her a little bit since one kink is in her neck. If you find out anymore information can you please let me know? I'm curious to see if it will get worse as she grows. Also do you mind posting a picture? I would really like to see what your corn looks like.
