strange behavior

my cal king is about 3 foot. he was handling 2 frozen hoppers easily, so i tried giving him a live feeder. after a few failed strikes he pretty much gave up and was trying to get away from the mouse. since then he's been acting a little bizarre, being very very active in his cage, looking for ways to escape. his activity stopped when he went into shed, but since he shed he has gone back to being very active. the shed went fine and he's eaten several frozen hoppers but his activity level remains very high in his cage. also he seems to spray me about half the time when i try to handle him, but calms down in my hand after a few seconds. since he's feeding normally im not super worried, but i wouldn't mind some input.

im sure you have heard it before ,may just be seasonal change.C

I agree it may be seasonal, it may well stop feeding soon. If your snake is conditioned to feed on f/t, you might want to reconsider feeding it live, it could easily get bit or worse. Some snakes are much better than others at killing prey, but I notice many wild caught snakes with rodent scars. I doubt the feeding experience with the live mouse is the reason for the "nervous" activity. good luck, Vic H.
