ATB face-hit nearly caught on film!

Mike H. Oct 17, 2008 02:33 AM

Had some friends over for coffee, homemade cookies, and ATB photos...

Here's a very large female sizing me up (taken by my girlfriend)

A fraction of a second after just getting smacked (taken by Bill Love)

The aftermath (taken by my girlfriend)

Mike, are you saying that your beard looks a bit like a bat's ass???????
I am impressed how vivid her pattern is. at her size I would have expected her to have dulled out like so many large boids do.

No...I think the beard looks fine; it's the face I wonder about

Mike, I feel your pain bro. I would much rather look at my snakes than my reflection in a mirror.

Nice hit Mike. I'm always worried they will get me in the eye with those big teeth.

Those are awesome shots by the way. Could you get more vegitation in the background?

I let my yard grow kind of wild along the back fences, complete with fallen logs cover with moss and vines

It looks great Mike. I am in love with that second animal. I am on the look out for a stunning male for some genetic diversity in my ATB group. Tinley was kind of an upset. But I got a sweet model of a juvenile Bipes biporus. It is now the highlight of my Latin America room. (I had to redefine Latin America to go north of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec just for this little thing lol)

I know, not one single ATB in the entire place!

There's a possibility we may have an Amazon Alliance booth next year.

There were 4 ATBs there that I saw. There were two over by Scott Michaels table and Steve Luth (from our area) had two that I saw. Steves were pretty nice actually, but they are related to mine and I want to genetic diveristy.

I wish I would have seen you there.

I have a few adult males available, but nothing spectacular.

Especially that red/orange knockout!

I did see some baby ATBs at the show on Sun. They were in one of the middle rows, near the back of the room. Now I can't remember who it was, but he had butter motley corns, too. I didn't really have much time to look around at the show, but ATBs were few and far between.

Hmmm...I can't believe I missed them. SoLA says some were Steve Luth's, I have a red male from Steve and that killer red female you guys saw on my mouse pad was from him also.
