Quick ? about heating a rack system.

Spardawolf Sep 07, 2003 10:27 AM

I am in the process of setting up my rack system. I ordered some flexwatt and clips to wire it. My question is, should I tape it directly to the wood shelf, or should I line the wood with something? I am worried about the wood getting too hot and burning. I now most people use melamine, but I have thick plywood to build this, and that is what I was going to use. Can someone help??

you can put it directly on the wood. The heat tape shouldn't get that hot.
