Unique Woma Getting Bigger

waspinator421 Oct 18, 2008 04:39 PM

I just took some new pictures of my Patternless Woma, hatched early this year, who has been growing very well. She is an absolute joy to keep, and such a great eater! I can't wait until this girl grows up.

Can I have her? Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease?! Just kidding (unless you were going to say yes)! She's beautiful and yes...very unique! One of my favorite species and that one's a keeper.

I'm really glad to see she's doing well. The very first pics I saw of her had me wondering if she'd thrive, but clearly she's in great shape! I hope you'll keep us posted down the road when it comes time to breed her... that will be exciting!

Thank you Joe! I was wondering that as well, as I know that many times when wierd things pop out it often comes with health problems as well. I felt confident that she would do ok, as she was a few months old, and had grown some already when I got her.

The only thing I notice about her that is different from my other Womas (aside from pattern of course), is that she is waaayyy more... well, not sure if "lethargic" is the right word, but she just sits there most of the time. If you hold her she will move her head and neck around, but she's really gotta want to go somewhere if she's gonna move around your hands. This really worried me at first, but you should see how excited she gets for food. WHAM!!! Gobble gobble gobble!

Since she has been growing, eating, shedding, and pooping very well, I am not as worried any more. I really hope she continues this pattern and grows up to be a big strong healthy girl. Who knows... perhaps she'll make some little ones like herself? Crossing fingers!!

BTW, I looked at your website. Those are some fantastic pictures of absolutely gorgeous animals. Great job!!!

Thanks for the compliments on my cheesy, out-dated site Aubrey I actually don't work with most of that stuff anymore. Just carpet and woma pythons.

I'm glad to hear that patternless girl has a good appetite if nothing else. The low activity level is something to wonder about for sure, but maybe it's not such a bad thing. I'd rather have an inactive snake with a good appetite than a restless snake that won't eat.

Thanks for the info and do make sure to keep "the community" posted about her progress.

Take care,
