Boa follow up pics - a BCI?

markpopejoy Oct 19, 2008 10:06 AM

He just shed and was able to take a little better pics...
any ideas if he is a bci or something different? The lady I got him from said he was a red tail, though I am awaiting her response to say WHERE she got it.

Thanks in advance.

Its definitely BCI,I now can clearly see it is not Hypo.Actually I believe,I'm sure many would agree with me .The term "Redtail Boa" is used far too frequently. The only Boas that really can be called Redtails are the BCC Boas. Although it can and is considered acceptable to call Colombian type Boas Redtail Boas. Actually when somebody says "Redtail Boa" more often than not they are referring to a Colombian type Boa.Although so many people don't have a clue what the difference. They call any Boa a "Redtail Boa". You'll never know the true place of origin for this Boa or its parents. My guess is this is not a Colombian type Boa but probably a Central American type Boa. Although it could come from a mixed breeding. Its a pretty little Boa.
