Wow! I have a few T positive Colombians and Argentines and he looks just like all of my animals (except they are not Dumerils). I would say he is T positive. Is he in the U.S.?

That is one awesome snake!!! What color is the tongue? It looks like a caramel to me... Were the parents wild type? Please post more pics!...Congrates on that breeding!

tigerpythons Oct 19, 2008 04:43 PM

I would discribe the tongue as purple. The littermates have black tongues. I will post more pictures in a few days. I have to get me a better digi cam to capture the color.

tigerpythons Oct 19, 2008 04:44 PM

Yes, the parents are wild type.

GreenAnt Oct 19, 2008 05:24 PM

Since the tongue is purple then i would definitely say that it is a T positive type. It doesn't look like a hypo to me either. Congrates once again!

Thanks. More to come. Also some nice boa stuff coming next year(not dums). Have to proof the genetics first. Keep my fingers crossed for the next year.

A Morph Dum!!! I am very excited to see that one! This has already been asked but I'll ask again since it has not been answered yet. Is that critter in the US?!?!?!

Fantastic!

That looks like a Caramel / T-Pos Dumm to me.
His Pupils even appear reddish in color.
So is this Boa in the U.S.A.?
Outstanding development !

Thanks for that Link Dennis. I remember these now that you refreshed my memory.
Although in my less than professional opinion,LOL He Reinhold Maugg has mis labeled his dums as Hypo.
When in all actuality they are Caramel / T-Pos Dumerils Boas.
People made this same mis identification with Argentine T-Pos.
Calling them Hypo instead of what they really were T-Pos Arg Boas.
The pics posted on the forum today are very much the same as what Reinhold Maugg has on his website though.
I agree with that !

The bummer about this is, if there is one, is that those animals and their offspring will never enter the United States. Not legally anyways. It's still very cool to see though!

Congrats on working that project for so long and for being able to keep it a secret for so long too! Impressive on both counts!
