Any tips for introducing adult albigs?

newstorm Oct 20, 2008 05:54 AM

I have a great opportunity to obtain a nice male albig to go along with my female.

They would be sharing a 10x10x6 enclosure with plenty of everything.

I of course would have to have a plan B in case things should take a nasty turn.

I know this would be a HUGE step, and I am not 100% decided yet.

I would appreciate any advice, thank you.

Remove everything from the cage, clean all fixtures very well to rid them of the smell of the animal that now occopies the cage just prior to recieving the new animal. Provide two of a necessities, two basking areas, one at either end of the cage, same with water containers. Be sure to have plenty of hides should one need refuge. Introduce both monitors to the newly rearranged cage at the same time. Have a backup cage ready should the two need to be separated. Watch them closely and keep your fingers crossed.
