First of all, I want to thank all of you for your kind remarks about my new little Dwarf Tegu. This is why this forum is so great, great people. The members of this forum spend their energy supporting each other and trying to help each other and seem genuinely happy for others when they acquire a new pet. Thanks to IgLady (Elaine) for the name suggestion. His name is Mosiac. Thanks Russ for the info on sexing, he is a male for sure. He was quite calm when I took him out and sat in my hand. I set him in my lap and he fell asleep. When I put him back in the cage he started to really explore instead of booking for his hide. We're off to a good start. Thanks again everyone!

so what made u come up with mosiac? i jsut named my red tegu badger cuz hes red and burries himself in the bark. i was goign to get a dwarf gu and name it gimli or gortek bronzebeard lol. i donno. mosiac is a kool name. it sounds indian too. u should get him a feath hat =) thn put him on show

i think mosaic refers to its pattern. mosaics are usually composed of many small different colored tiles to make one larger picture. its a lot like the way reptiles scales are individual, yet form a complete pattern. nature's art.

IgLady (Elaine) from this forum sent me the suggestion. After looking at him I thought it fit him perfectly as he has the most beautiful patterns all over his body, he has a very sweet disposition too!
