The past week has been filled with excitement, not only with the welcoming of my daughter into the world but within my personal collection as well. Although my sinaloae and nelsoni bred fairly late this year, I was blessed with 17 good clutches. They finally, after what seemed like eternity, began to hatch a few days ago. Brightly colored albino Nelson's, het albinos and a few clutches of very nice hypoerythristic Sinaloans have all made their ways out. This morning I checked on my clutches of double het hypoerythristic X albinos and found this one peeking through.....

I knew immediately by just glancing that this snake is definitely the double recessive (hypoerythristic X albino) sinaloan. Compared to a normal albino, it is extremely light pink in color with triads that are cream colored instead of the typical yellow. As of now, this little one still remains in the safety of its egg. Once it does emerge and sheds, I will provide a comparison shot of this snake alongside an albino. In the meantime, I will be looking forward to seeing what hatches from my splotched and double het splotched X albinos over the next few weeks. Wish me luck.....
