Vertigo

starla_dpw Oct 20, 2008 11:18 PM

I have a young snow corn that has fed successfully and eliminated for 7 weeks now. Suddenly tonight it is behaving as though it has vertigo. Has anyone encountered this before? What is it? How do I help this snake?

could you be a little more specific?
Is it having trouble moving or moving erraticly?
Is it by any chance rolling the front half of it's body almost upside down?

Yes, it is moving erratically and it seems to be the front half of its' body flipping around.

hmmm
do you know the background of its parents?
it almost sounds like "stargazing"
google stargazing and see if there is a resemblance

i would think it would be either stargazing or some kind of poison if its still alive... i've heard of a snake rolling in circles when flea powder is used in the same room- can be vacuumed up and the vacuum used in the reptiles area.... or if someone has painted their room recently..the scent of the paint messes with the snakes... i know this is a good site to get an idea if its stargazing :

the last time I was reading up in stargazing. It was thought to be a sympton of many issues. I guess it still might be?

But a very good article on that site.

thanks

Thank you for the information! My snake's symptoms match the information that I found on Star Gazing.
