Argentine Boa Boa constrictor occidentalis progression of growth.

Born on 08/08/2006 (some of the cards say 9th, this is an error, it was the 8th) – from a litter of 22 all numbered (01-22), 4 neonates were weighed/measured (snout to tail) on the 24/08/06, 24/10/2006, 07/07/2007, 23/09/2007 & 21/10/2008 and notes made of their food consumption. The following is a condensed record of their weights from birth for 4 of them. I decided to keep these particular 4 to record growth rates and weight increase from neonate to sub adult/adult. I’m not sure how much longer I will be able to keep these however, although plan on keeping them a while longer yet, if circumstances allow. All dates are DD/MM/YYYY.

The animals I kept were; 08, 13, 17 & 21.

First, a picture of the litter being laid or shortly afterwards.

The parents both now 12yrs old, Mom first then Dad to follow.
Mom.

Dad.

Now a picture of what they look like when they are freshly laid. This particular one is neonate number 17, the largest of the litter at birth.

I'd have to agree with that! Those brightly coloured ones hurt my eyes :-P Many thanks for the kind words.

The female is over 7.5 ft and the male over 7ft. Weight, not sure but this is very variable upon the season anyway, for both sexes I find. Good luck with yours! The parents are 12yrs old, if I haven't mentioned it in the blurb above.
