I am getting ready to install my pre-wired flexwatt. But it does not say which side is to go against the tubs,,,is there a right side,,,,or do both sides heat?

I put the side with the shiny stripes down, but I don't think it really matters since the whole thing is covered in plastic and both sides get hot.
