Dang! I need more room, money and time, mostly room and money though lol.
Have you noticed further generations of cb YT's being any easier to get feeding? Or have you guys figured out a sure-fire way to get those buggers going?
Nate
It's interesting you ask that, because the answer is yes. Twelve out of the thirteen eggs in 2007 hatched, and a full 50% of them fed on unscented, live mouse fuzzies from the beginning. After two or three unsuccessful tries with unscented rodents, the remaining hatchlings readily accepted live mouse fuzzies rubbed with fish. I froze some large freshwater minnows leftover from a fishing trip at a nearby lake. The minnows are actually a species of herring or gizzard shad, I'm not sure which. I simply cut open the belly of one of the minnows and gently rubbed the live fuzzy against the entrails. I keep several of the minnows in the freezer. In a freezer baggy they keep indefinitely, and the same minnow can be refrozen and reused. It's a very simple, no muss, no fuss way to have the scenting animals handy whenever you might need them.
These three are all gorgeous, Brian.
BTW, the Texan is settling in fine.

Very nice Brian! I have my YT's together now and hopefully should have two and possibly three females bred this year.
My Dr Phil and Chuck Elliot males bred to their girls Sunshine and Silver. I might throw my Dr Phil female together with my Bordner male as well???
Anyone seeing any breeding going on with their Drys?
