Well, one of my close friends has a male ball python. I am interested in purchasing a snake of my own and blood pythons looked very interesting to me. When i saw some females online i thought about breeding our snakes, because i had never heard of that combination being bred before.

i think theyre called super balls or something close. its a black blood, or short tail python with a ball. they can be infertile, and tend not to sell. plus the size, and temperment of the snakes could head south quickly if one decides its feeding time. if youre just starting, i wouldnt reccomend it, and especially not bloods to balls. balls can also be bred to carpets, which can also be bred to chrondros, which may mean a chrondro to ball may be the next thing, a snake ive never seen. again though, i wouldnt reccomend cross breeding animals, unless its naturally occuring. ex. childrens and spotted pythons.

..Or Carpet to Diamond. Which would be a nearly natural intergrade.
Personally, crossbreeding is something I disdain, especiall intergeneric crosses. Yuck!

Depends on the sub-species. The most common Carpet/Diamond cross has historically been Diamond Jungles, which would never occur naturally.

As for the chondro ball, I think I'm going to be ill. That's like breeding a world champion show horse to a donkey.

It's called a Super Ball...there's some pictures around on the net. I think they are awesome looking...And really beastly. I don't know if cross-breeding is right, but people do it with the Carpets and Diamonds and nobody seems to have a problem with it. I wouldnt breed a male Ball to a female Blood...there can be quite a size difference.

There is also a Wall Python...which is a Ball and a Woma Python cross-bred...Those are even cooler than the Super Balls in my opinion.
