Calking not eating for the past 3-4 wks?

jesterx626 Oct 22, 2008 01:05 AM

Winter time's rollin around here in southern california, and I dont know if that plays a part in my calkings refusal to touch food. I've always fed it FT fuzzies for the past 3-4 months, and it has not ate in 3-4 weeks. Any explaination to the cause or what I can do about it? Or should I just leave my calking alone?

it's night time right now, 80 degrees on the warmer side of the tank btw.

Some of mine have stopped eating as well - with artificial heat.
Sometimes they signal off of the change in light - as it starts getting light later and dark earlier.

I agree with FunkyRes...If the snake is exposed to natural lighting he/she knows that the days are getting shorter and winter is on the way......I wouldn't worry about it if the weight/health is good.

Yea my snake is by my window so he gets indirect natural sunlight. Thanks for the reply.
