does anyone not have a heat gradient?

brick1 Oct 22, 2008 10:08 PM

for those with heated snake rooms, is a heat gradient provided by a heat mat/cable actually needed? or can this difference in temp be done just from say the moist hide and the water bowl?

We heat our whole room, but I find that a heat pad is needed. The difference between their hide and the other side of the cage is non-existent in our cages without the heat mats

It gets cold here in the winter, and the room sometime is not consistent and will cool more than is allowable, so the heat pads are a must.
