Newest BRB Litter

Jeff Clark Oct 23, 2008 12:53 AM

This litter was born on the morning of 10/22/08. The mother of the litter is Caat99F4. She laid her litter on the 5th of october last year. When I got home and found them Caat99F4 was on top of the nest box. About half the babies were still inside the box and about half were crawling around in the cage. Final count is 5 males and 11 females with 7 or more slugs and no stillborns. Color looks pretty good on this litter with just typical crescents on all but one of the females which has 6 bullseyes.

These two males and one female are from Caat99F4's 2007 litter.

palpating now that you know which ones are males??? Forget the females because by palpating you are looking to feel the male organ under the skin, those without them are females. Once you've figured out how to feel the hemipenes, then you can sex your own litters!!

I have been practicing on our small male BCI, because he doesn't bite me. Still can't find it, though.

The guy who did ours popped them, and he showed me how to do it, but I think i'd rather be able to palpate because i'm paranoid i'll hurt the little guys.
