P. Palp unexpected death

My dwarf caiman died the other day for no obvious reason was fine basking and growling when I walked by then 2 hours later dead not been sick no change in diet temps nothing out of the ordinary at all anybody got any ideas of what might have happened ........ Really miss the little guy awful bad amazing how attached you can get to something you cant really hold or pet

in all my years i had only one die. a spectacled. no reason either.

There's always a reason for an unexpected death. The only way you can know what happened is by having a thorough necropsy conducted which is worth the expense. Paleosuchus are pretty rugged crocs who can withstand fluctuations...but to a degree. Like any exotic animal, there are certain tolerances they can handle in a captive situation and many variables at play including: thermal gradients, stress management, diet/supplementation, parasites/treatment, etc.
