....it is to switch an established adult from eating LIVE rats to f/t? theres a sweet lady at work that wants to sell her adult (6yrs old) female ball python. i would prefer to feed it f/t even though she looked disgusted when i told her that..LOL...she breeds feeder rats too.
the snake is a decent price and im giving thought to it. i just didnt know if i should just keep her on what she knows and is established on, or should i take time to switch her over?
whats a good, low stress way of switching em over???

every snake is different, you need to try and find out before you buy. but that is no guarantee it can take several feedings befor ethe pick up on it.

i have some that will only take mice, live or F/T

i have some that will only take live rats or mice

i have some that will take live rats or F/T

i have some that will take anything i throw in the tub

it all depends on the snake..........good luck

Very true, they're all different. I'm lucky if my normal female eats anything at all but my male pastel would probably take a cold rock if it was on tongs.

I have a few like that... would eat anything... i have a few that will check out a f/t rat... and look at me... and move on...

just skip a feeding or 2 so she's more hungry than usual- try a nice warm f/t on tongs and see what happens...

i have a little male that takes his f/ts just fine.
i doubt this lady has tried f/t ever..like i said, she looked disgusted and was like NOOOO thawed. so it would be on me to try- if i even want to bother... *sigh* i still havent decided...
