Hello
Could a M and F garter be housed together in 30 gallon long watched while erating or is this a no no ?
I ask as prefer to house both in 30 gall as they get more room than each in 20 gall long tank.
Thanks
Rita

separate snakes for feeding. if they grab the same food item , could get ugly.

Thank you but other than that they should be ok housed together?
I've kept a pair of easterns in a 29 gallon for a few years, they reproduced and did quite well. The only things to watch out for is feeding mishaps and that the male will constantly try to breed with the female for a few weeks at a time. The latter may be annoying to the female and cause the male to go off feed.
