Just wondering the perfect size/weight/age for a female boa. I have a girl that is 5.5' and 16-20 pounds. She is 3 to 4 years. I can't remember at the moment. I'd have to get back to you on that one.

My BCC girl was around the 10 lb mark when 5.5' long. If yours is truly 20 lbs, I'd put her on a diet and exercise regimen.

She has lost a little weight. But that's not the point. We went to the vet with he and they marked her at 14.2 but she wasn't staying still. She isn't fat. She gets a 1.5 pound rabbit every other week. I don't think i am over feeding her.
Your vet should know that the best way to weigh a boa that won't sit still is to bag it and put it on the scale.
There is an ENORMOUS difference between a 14.2 pound 5.5' boa, and a 20 lb 5.5' boa. If she's 14.2 pounds, she could have a recent 1.5 pound meal in her plus a defecation or two and could realistically be 11.5-12 lbs. That wouldn't be huge by any means for that size.
My personal recommendation to maximize the length and quality of the life of your girl, feed her a 1.5 lb rabbit every 3-4 weeks. Feel free to ignore the advice though

I'm no boa expert but she looks pretty fat in the pic. Why ask for advice when you're going to receive it with deaf ears?

I did switch her onto rabbits recently and she has lost weight. That photo is older. I really honestly think she lost weight.
