Pelusios bottow walker

zhiv9 Sep 07, 2003 04:19 PM

I didn't realize how much Pelusios subniger walks on the bottom until I moved mine from a forty gal flat, to a 100 gal and significantly deepened the water. Its interesting watching him nosing around in the gravel looking for something to eat.

Just thought I'd share

They are really neat turtles. They have the 'look' of a snakeneck turtle but none of the spastic hyperness.
Mine are very interesting to watch as well.
