Is This A Normal Or A Yellowbelly?

mikesnake Oct 26, 2008 10:49 PM

My buddy thinks this young female is a yellowbelly and I think it is probably a normal, but I've never actually looked at a yellowbelly in person, so I'm unsure. You can't tell because of my cheap camera, but the belly has a yellowbelly tint, which is what first caught our eye. And it just shed so I know it's not because of an impending shed. We compared it to several other normal females the same size which all came from the same guy and it's definitely different because of the coloring and the dark lines going along the sides of the belly, which none of the others have. Thanks for any input!

Thanks! I tried to tell my buddy it's a normal but he disagreed. Who's going to sell a yellowbelly female for twenty bucks? He isn't that lucky! lol

It is ODD but definately not a YB!!

Breed it to a pastel male and see what happens. then breed it's son back to it. Make sure the son has the same markings on the belly.

Maybe nothing may be something. That is the best part of the BP hobby you never know until you try!!
