Blonde Mexican Hognoses

electricbluescat Sep 07, 2003 04:28 PM

Has anyone ever seen a blonde mexican hognose? There is a pic of one on www.albinohognose.com The coloration of this hognose is similar to my female 2003 reverse striped california king.
How much do the blonde mexicans usually cost? i am getting a pair of normal western hognoses. The ones I am getting are 2003 babies.

thanks,
john

I actually saw a blonde today at Richard Evans' table in the ETHS show. It was a great looking snake, it was an adult and carried a $5000 price tag.

I picked up a nice adult female western today, there were quite a few hogs at the show.

Good luck with your baby westerns.

The mexican blonde hognoses are cool. The albino western hognoses run around 1500 and up for a pair. My female 2003 western hognose is coming from Richard Evans owner of www.albinohognose.com The baby male 2003 western hognose is coming from Rick Trenny owner of www.renegadereptiles.com
My female 2003 western hognose will come in until later this week cuz Richards at a show and wont be abck till Tuesday.
Ricks going to let me know when he has male thats feeding on unscented pinkies. Hognoses will always be one of my favorite snakes of all time.

Hi John,

I'm just wondering if you are getting a pair of albinos or normals?

Your first response says you are getting normals, but in your second response it implies you are getting an albino pair?

Just curious... also, the albinos are running $1500ea right now... at least from what I am seeing. Are you seeing them for $1500/pair?

Talk to you later.

I am getting a normal pair of western hognoses lol I do be sorry for being confusing in the earlier post. I also mis read its the het for albinos that are 1500 a pair. The albinos do run about 1500 each. But it all depends on the breeder thats selling them. I cannot afford the albino hognoses lol. But maybe someday I will have a pair of them also.

Right now I have

1.1 striped desert cali king
0.1 het for lavender albino cal king
1.0 lavender albino cali king
1.0 50/50 cali king
0.1 reversed striped cali king
1.1 mexican rosy boas

These are all 2003 hatchlings. I have always wanted a pair of normal western hognoses and now I am glad that that I am finally able to get them lol. I was looking at hognoses back in 1999 when I had my first california king. Most of the hatchlings I have now came from the daytona show.

It is the nicest show I have been to in Texas... seemed to be a lot more crowded this year.

I loved the big albino female at Richard Evans' booth, that girl was a knockout. I had my fingers crossed that he would have a male albino there, but no luck.

I have always liked the mexican blondes... and after seeing one in person that may be the next project on my wish list. But first things first... I need to pickup an albino male so I can prove out my poss het females.

I agree, this years show was terrific. I think it was easily the best ETHS show in at least the past 4 years. The hognose selection was by far the best I've ever seen, but I don't get to a lot of shows. I picked up a nice little male from Jim Sargent, one from his Bernalillo Co. lineage. I also lucked into the only female suboc at the show, so Christmas came a little early this year!
