eating like normal during shed

eksnek Oct 27, 2008 04:38 PM

Greetings All,

I am brand spanking new to this forum. I am also a new to hoggies (keeping them for about a year). I currently have a 1.1 albino and just ordered 1.1 tri-color. Needless to say, i am hooked.

On to the question...I thawed out some fuzzies yesterday, not knowing that my female is in shed and not wanting to waste anything, i decided to feed it to her. She ate it like a champ. i would like to know if it is harmful to feed your hoggies while they are in shed?

Regards,
Kenny

My red westerns eat when they're "blue" and I love it! No down time! Jeff

Yeah I couldn't imagine it being harmful, to tell you the truth I've never thought about it. Most of my hogs eat when they are in shed consistenly. Good luck with all your future hogs too!!!

Thanks guys. I just wanted to make sure that it's not gonna harm my hoggies.

Kenny
