Corn Snake Shed?

RainbowsRule Oct 28, 2008 01:32 PM

Hello
I have had my first corn snake for 3 or four weeks. It has been eating twice a week and has been acting normally. It hasn't shed yet, and i was wondering how long it takes for babies to shed. thank you in advance.

I'd look for a baby snake to shed 5 or 6 times during its first year of life when on a twice a week feeding schedule.

I'd put money on it shedding within a week.
You probably bought it just after a shed.

thanks for the reply! Now today, he has been defensive and his eyes are turning blue. I can't wait for him to shed. Thanks again!

If you haven't already done so, make sure it has a moist place to hide until it sheds. I find that baby snake really benefit from this. I use a small container (like glad-ware), cut a couple of holes, and fill it with damp sphagnum moss.
