lost snake

garpes01 Oct 29, 2008 07:27 AM

We have a milk snake that has broken free. We keep him in a well contained room but we beleive he has gotten into the air return vents under the floor of the house. He has escaped before and we found him crawling out of another return vent. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions as to what we can do to find him? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

take off the 2 screws on the vent and get yourself a mirror on a rod ( like at pep boys or something) and use a flashlight and you will be able to see through all the vents this way.Doesn't mean he/she hasn't popped up in another room but maybe its still in the vent. This has worked for me before when I lived in a mobile.

I didn't know it when I bought my house, but all the vents are on the ceiling. I have had 4 escapees this year and am very thankful the vents weren't on the floor!
