Thayeri Not Eating?

FlagSStaff Oct 29, 2008 10:50 AM

I've got a now just over 1 year old Thayeri that hasn't eaten in coming up on a month and a half. I haven't changed anything with his enclosure... I keep the tank right around 75-80 degrees. I've offered him white feeders now on three different occasions and all he's done is strike at them once and then lose interest completely. The weather here is turning colder, with nights down around freezing. I have a heating pad under the tank and a heat lamp on top that's on a timer. The snake looks healthy, with clear eyes and plenty of meat on him. He's never seen a frozen mouse before, but I'm considering trying them. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!!

it's been mentioned before, but the shorter days may have just triggered an "off" feeding response. My normally voracious Brooks who will eat any and everything I offer him, hasn't eaten in a couple weeks. You should be fine
