Is respiratory infection seasonal?

fatjay Oct 30, 2008 12:08 AM

Is it just me or as anyone esle notice a lot of posts about RI lately? I'm working with a case of RI myself, and was just curious if this was something I'm gonna have to pay particularly close attention to this time of the year. A good reminder to watch the temps and humidity levels closely I guess.

It could make sense for RIs to be seasonal. The drop in temperature coupled with a decrease in humidity from heater usage could be the culprit. It could also be a lot of first time snake owners that bought their animals over the summer and don't have the optimal set-up.

My axanthic male just got one but that's just because he spilled his water in the drawer and my dumbass didn't check on him for 10 days. It's totally my fault. I felt so bad I had snake nightmares the last two nights.
