Age Old Question

Belly Heat vs Heat Panels. Do both work as the most up to date keeping, or does one out weigh the other.

Lets go with different situations.

Basement - Cold 65 degrees normally

Controlled Room - Temp 75 degrees.

Also do the gradients really need to go from Hot to Colder, can you go from Hotspot to Cold to medium on the far end?

With most species it's just a matter of preferrence. Both are effective and commonly used today.

Lets go with different situations.

Basement - Cold 65 degrees normally

Controlled Room - Temp 75 degrees.

Sorry, I can't help you there because I've never used a heat panel.

You can go with the hot/cold/medium order of temps but it will disrupt the natural air circulation within the cage, making it harder to control humidity. It also makes it harder for the snake to thermoregulate. If it were to move slightly out of the hot side, part of it's body would be in the cold area while the other part is still in the hot.

Catch ya later!
