Found this little snake in St. Louis county MO this past Sunday in a flat grassy area. Would appreciate help identifying it.

Looks like a completely harmless Gray Ratsnake to me (I believe the range is right, someone correct me if I'm wrong)

Some form of neonate water snake -- definitely not a rat snake, its scales are keeled. I believe it is a northern water snake, Nerodia sipedon.
