Looking for some statistics....

Sunshines2day Oct 30, 2008 06:47 PM

...does anyone have or know where I could look to find statistical information on fresh imports of epicrates cenchria? I'm interested in weights and lengths of adult imports and locales of their collection.

Linda,
...I suspect that the information on all the subspecies does not exist. If you navigate around the CITES website you can find the annual import/export numbers for every species listed by every country that is a CITES signator. There may be other more specific information kept by someone who maintains that website. You could also do a web search for the Butantan Herp. Institute in Brazil and email people there to see if anyone has the information you are looking for. I know that some of the people there have published collection data for a couple of the different subspecies. Finding the right person there to help you may be a problem.

I'll check it out, been on the CITES site before when I was newer and remember it being difficult to navigate or too complicated. I'll try again.

Thanks,

Linda

Very difficult to navigate. You have to try finding things several different ways that do not seem intuitive and then it does become easier.
