Feeding Question

jareese219 Oct 30, 2008 08:16 PM

Hey Guys,
I had a question because I wanted to clarify something that has been relatively hazy from every source I've researched. I have a roughly 3 year old female Pueblan who is about 3.5 feet. I usually feed her one adult mouse every week, and she has adapted well to this routine. So my question is, is this an appropriate spacing of feeding/enough/or too often? She has a great temperature gradient available to her (72-84) so I was just wondering what the standard for feeding adults actually was. Thanks for the help!

There are way too many factors to give an exact calculation for how much any individual snake should be eating. That's why you aren't finding precise information. What you will find are guidelines which can promote good healthy growth.

What you are doing sounds perfect and you said the snake has adapted to the routine... unless you feel the snake needs more or less food I wouldn't change a thing.
