A few old pics from disc, Sobek, etc...

SHvar Oct 31, 2008 12:41 AM

Sobek 21 months old, almost 6ft long.

A few years ago, Sobek being challenged by a 45 inch flavi-argus male. She was 6ft 5 inches here.

July 20th 2004, Sobek 6ft 2 inches long, 2 years and 7 months old.

Sobeks uncle, Shadow, a first generation albig cross. Another of Rob Fausts beautiful offspring.

A bosc I got free at a reptile show we had a table at. This one crawled out of the trash and up my arm. The owner didnt want him back, he said "I have enough of them, keep it".

People that she is familiar with, and like a dog she reads body language. If you approach them insecurely, or nervous they know it, if you approach them too confident it comes across as a danger to them when they are unfamiliar with you.
Sobek and I developed a relationship that is hard to describe the minute I pulled her from the delivery box as a tiny 2 month old. She was nervous of my wife until one day she escaped and was hiding in one of my sneakers. My wife found her there, since then they have been close.
Keep in mind that I do not suggest anyone to try this, I can trust Sobek to take crickets from my fingers, or at least at one time I used to be able to, even when she was just over 6ft long. This was not something I tried intentionally, it was an accident when I was distracted.
She has even leaped from the floor in front of another poster on this forum (here, well he hasnt posted in a while), and took a mouse from my hand (while I was standing at a friends house), I felt her teeth scrape across my fingers gently, then she plucked it before she fell to the floor.
The only time I dont trust her is around the dogs and the cat. The dogs have a smell around their mouths that causes her to want to take a taste. I firmly believe though that either dog would kill her in a hurry. The cat she avoids, hes a big strong confident cat.
