can i use halogen light bulbs???

i got a few for free at work and they arent those huge ones that are in motion lights they are smaller 50 watt ones.. the top of the light mesures about 2.5- 3 in. can i use them as a light in my leo tanks?? it would save me some money

I dont see why not as long as the temp stays the same. If I remember correctly halegon bulbs give off a lot more heat than normal house-hold bulbs. Just monitor the temp...
