coolluigi007 Oct 31, 2008 12:31 PM

Hey, I got a question.
A buddy of mine and me where talking today and we both couldn't remember if Het Axanthics had any markers or not? I can't remember every seeing anything about it but I was wondering if you guys knew for sure?

Thanks

Not to my knowledge. Of the recessives the only ones I know that sometimes show "markers/signs" of being hets are clowns and pieds. Maybe there are others?

Here's a het. pied with the marker...not a great pic, but it's the dark zig zag running dow the edge of the belly.

het clowns have a tendancy to be very light colored with high white edging. They make great looking snakes by themselves.

Again...like het pieds...the markers/traits aren't always there.....nor if they have the traits are they a for sure het.

Okay cool, I had a feeling that they didn't have any markers. My male has a very nice reduced pattern and my female has a few flames on her sides. They both have a fairly busy belly pattern and the female has slight rail-roading (think its a word, ), kind of like a pied, but nothing that screams marker.
