Poor old boy. I'm so sorry. At least he found someone who cared about him in his final days.

I'm soo sorry, Steve! *big hug* I know how much you loved him, even for the short time that you had him. I admire you very much for how much you care for all these critters. Thanks for being such a great example to me!

I'm sorry about your friend.

To answer your questions from the previous thread:

The chlorhexiderm was 2%. The antifungals were OTC at the drugstore. They are commonly yeast infection treatments or athlete's foot creams. I also found good results with Tresaderm, which your vet will have. I didn't do a sensitivity culture, so it was trial and error. I found the micanozole and Tresaderm had rapid effects.

My fungal guy would eat anything, which was helpful. In the end, the deteriorating one was syringe fed. In a case of yellow fungus, it is important to eliminate added sugars. I am familiar with Critical Care, but I can't think of the ingredient list right now. If it has fruit or fruit sugars, it wouldn't be helpful. A better choice may be veggie baby foods such as sweet potato, squash, or green beans, with a just a bit of chicken for protein.

I learned a lot through this ordeal, and I hope any of this info can help someone else. I got it from the pogona diseases yahoo group and many famous articles that were floating around and now seem hard to find.
